Good. If you join a tug as a deckhand, your job may include engine work, or cooking. You'll certainly learn janitorial work. If you get in as a wiper in the engine room, you be on deck helping to make tow and tie up the tow. Again, you'll be asked to do your share of the cooking and cleaning too. It's not all glamour and photo-ops.
